The facility also consolidates multiple satellite warehouse locations into a centralised operation, said Cirrus.

Cirrus has opened a new 60,000sqft (5,500sqm) warehousing facility in Duluth, Minnesota.

The centre will support parts storage and processing space for continued growth in aircraft production, aftermarket services and innovation, said the company.

“As our fleet continues to grow around the world, we are investing in the infrastructure and capabilities needed to support our aircraft and owners throughout the ownership experience,” said Zean Nielsen, CEO of Cirrus. “The Cirrus Warehousing Center gives our teams greater capacity and efficiency while supporting our production goals, continued innovation and growing upgrades and accessories business.”

The new facility also supports the company’s broader Duluth operations and team members. The company is headquartered at Duluth International Airport. The city is also the location of the Cirrus Aircraft Innovation Center, home to more than 300 engineers.

Back in August, Cirrus opened its expanded manufacturing facility in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Purpose-built to support current and forecasted production rates, the facility streamlines the movement of composite parts throughout the manufacturing process.
