Electronics ban lifted on Egypt

Electronics ban lifted on Egypt

Following the lift on Qatar, Emirates and Turkish, EgyptAir is the latest airline to receive exemption from the cabin-ban on electronics flying from the Gulf into the US.

The ban, imposed in March by US Homeland Security is gradually being phased out following the introduction of new Homeland Security measures for airlines flying into the US.

EgyptAir are the only Egyptian airline that operates flights from Egypt to America, with a daily flight from Cairo to JFK.

Only Saudia Arabian airlines and airports remains under the electronics ban, with Morocco, Jordan and Kuwait also having the ban lifted.

The UK imposed a similar ban in March which has yet to be lifted for Egypt.
