Vietjet and Mitsubishi UFJ agree financing for three A321s

Vietjet has signed an agreement with Mitsubishi UFJ  to provide finance for three new Airbus A321s worth $348 million.

The Vietnamese low-cost carrier previously signed the purchase agreement for the three aircraft with Airbus and will receive them within the year to help meet its domestic and international expansion plans.

This comes off the back of Vietjet’s $3.8 billion engine and support deal. As with the previous deal, the financing agreement was witnessed by Vietnam’s Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc. Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was also present.
