Stellwagen Finance closes PDP for AWAS

Stellwagen Finance has closed a Pre-Delivery Payment (PDP) facility for the purchase of five Boeing 737 MAX 8s by Dublin lessor AWAS.

The five aircraft will be delivered to AWAS on a purchase and leaseback agreement with “one of its valued airline customers”.

This comes off the back of similar financing deals Stellwagen has closed with CALC and ALAFCO. The financier has sourced $1.2 billion in PDPs for lessors and airlines to date.

Simon Glass CFO of AWAS said: “Over the last few years, Stellwagen has arranged a number of innovative non-bank financing solutions for AWAS and this new PDP deal is another great example of how they are able to provide customised structures that support AWAS’s goal to have a diversified financing strategy”.
