Chorus completes ATR72-600 acquisition

Canadian holding company Chorus Aviation has closed its acquisition of six ATR 72-600s. Three of the aircraft to are leased to Flybe and the other three to Virgin Australia Airlines.

Commenting on the purchase, Chorus Aviation Capital’s President, Steven Ridolfi, said, “We are delighted to welcome Flybe and Virgin Australia as customers, and pleased to induct the first ATRs to our increasingly diverse fleet of regional aircraft.”

The aircraft were acquired through using equity capital and term debt financing. Chorus says that the purchase price for the aircraft were “consistent with current market values”.
