AerFin takes delivery of first E170LR

AerFin has taken delivery of its first Embraer E170LR from Saudia.

The British lessor and service provider secured an order of 15 Embraer EJets from the Middle Eastern carrier in May. The agreement included spare parts, engines, tooling and all other equipment necessary to support the fleet.

The aircraft, MSN 17000158, was delivered to Saudia in 2006 and has been operating ever since. AerFin are acquiring the fleet to launch its EJet nose-to-tail solution venture with SR Technics, named Beyond Fleet Services.

Bob James, AerFin’s CEO said: “The first delivery is significant in AerFin’s preparations for the launch of its Beyond Fleet Services venture for the EJet product line, which will provide complete nose-to-tail support solutions for Embraer EJet operators.

“It is expected that the first EJet E170 delivery MSN 17000158 will be delivered to a new regional operator under a complete flight hour package agreement, following transition work in Tarmac Aerosave’s facility in Teruel.”
