AWAS closed a Pre-Delivery Payment (PDP) facility for five Boeing 737 MAX 8s with financial advisory firm Stellwagen Finance as sole arranger.

The commercial lessor will be placing the aircraft on a purchase and leaseback agreement with “one of its valued airline customers”.

Stellwagen sourced funds for institutional investors for the facility and has sourced $1.2 billion in financing for lessors and airlines in total.

“AWAS’s innovative proposition provided one of its valued airline customers with a highly compelling solution to both its near and longer term financing requirements. We were delighted to be able to support AWAS in executing on its ambitious strategy and look forward to continuing our long-standing relationship”, said Marc Bourgade, CEO of Stellwagen Finance.
